Overview

Dr. Satyaranjan Das is a distinguished expert in Clinical Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation, with an extensive career spanning over three decades. He is currently serving at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Noida (formerly Jaypee Hospital) since 2022. Prior to this, he dedicated 36 years to the Armed Forces Medical Services, gaining invaluable experience in both peace and field operations. His contributions to the field of hematology are remarkable, having spearheaded the Bone Marrow Transplant Programme in the Armed Forces and being actively involved in over 800 bone marrow transplant cases between 2003 and 2022. He has held several prestigious positions throughout his career, including Professor and Head of the Department of Clinical Hematology & Centre for Stem Cell Transplantation & Research at Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi, from 2003 to 2012 and again from 2016 to 2018. Additionally, he served at INHS Asvini, Mumbai, from 2013 to 2015, and at AFMC & CH, Pune, from 2020 to 2022.

Dr. Das is an esteemed member of several national and international medical organizations. He is a member of the Indian Society of Haematology and Blood Transfusion (ISHBT) and a founding member of the Indian Society of Blood and Marrow Transplant (ISBMT). He also holds a leadership position as the Vice President of the Indian Myeloma Academic Group (IMAGE). His contributions extend to various other professional groups, including the Delhi Society of Hematology, the Mumbai Haematology Group, the Asia Pacific BMT Society (APBMT), the Indian Academy of Pediatrics, and the Pediatric Haematology Oncology Society. As a pioneer in hematology and stem cell transplantation, Dr. Das continues to contribute to the advancement of medical research and patient care, making a significant impact in the field of hematology.
